It’s a wonderful time of year to be heading out and enjoying our beautiful backyard of the Flinders Ranges. Recent rains have seen the grass start to pop up and give a glorious green tinge across the hills, and I can attest that the view from the top of Devil’s Peak is worth the hike. Any bush walk or mountain climb is made easier with comfortable boots, and we have some great options available at Ranges Country.
The Ariat DuraTerrain is a lace up walking boot that is also suitable for horse riding. These extremely comfortable boots feature a full grain leather upper with durable triple row stitching and rubber toe cap. The DuraTead outsole provides traction without a chunky tread, offering both wear resistance and flexibility for comfort.
The ATS gel cushioned footbed and heel stabiliser delivers excellent support for long hours on your feet. The DuraTerrain is treated with Waterproof Pro technology – offering excellent exterior protection from the elements.
We are also excited to offer the newest Ariat hiking boot to hit the market, the Skyline Summit! While the DuraTerrains are excellent allround walk/ride boots, the Skyline Summit is designed purely for hiking, with a full grain leather upper combined with rugged nylon panels and mesh lining.
The Skyline Summit benefits from Goretex, Ariat’s completely waterproof technology – the microporous membrane allows vapour to escape without letting moisture in, helping to keep your feet dry from outside and in.
These boots feature a well-padded collar to provide you with superior ankle support. The dual density DuraTread outsole has a thicker, multi-directional traction design, which is both oil- and slip-resistant and provides ultimate grip even on tricky surfaces. Additionally, the ATS Pro technology provides an EVA mid-sole to absorb shock.
I recently went for a hike up Devil’s Peak with my Mum and boyfriend Dave. I was in my Ariat Skylines while Mum had on DuraTerrains. I can highly recommend Ariat as a comfortable boot that provides great grip and ankle support!
Ariat are well known for their excellent comfort – even straight out of the box they take very little wearing in, and my DuraTerrains have carried me on many a hike around our beautiful state.
Get out there and enjoy it while you can, summer will be upon us before we know it.
